Hi Biru…. too bad you didn’t like the food there. I’ll agree with you on the price. It is more expensive than most places. I find that when you’re out and about seeing a city, you can’t always know where you’ll be when hunger hits you or the people you’re with. There is nothing worse than stopping to eat in a place that serves bad food just because it knows there will always be hungry tourists nearby. It’s always good to know where you can get good food near tourist attractions and the four of us really loved what we ordered at Cafe des Arts.

Have to disagree about the MALBA restaurant. The menu looked promising, but in reality it’s total style-over-substance, with extortionate pricing for what are basically glorified sandwiches. I’ve eaten much better elsewhere for much less.

Katie, you are going to love the MALBA. And, of course, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. There are just so many great museums here. I like the photography exhibits at Bellas Artes and Teatro San Martin. The Centro Cultural Recoleta and Palais du Glace also have good photography exhibits. I know you’re a photo buff. What a great list of activities! I’m very interested in checking out the MALBA. I enjoy museums, and I haven’t been to a single one in Buenos Aires. It’s on my to-do list.
