The Guesthouse
This newly renovated 90-year-old home has high ceilings, French doors, gorgeous details, and brand new stunning bathrooms. It’s got really good bones and we’ve been working hard to make sure it also has lots of soul.
Tucked away on the quiet treelined street of Piedras, one block away from beautiful Caseros, The Guesthouse has three bedrooms for rent. We’ve named them after the surrounding streets. Two bedrooms, Caseros and Piedras, share the turquoise bathroom.
The third bedroom, Finochietto, has a private bathroom that I could move into tomorrow it’s that amazing.
The entrance is private. Walk up the stairs to the small foyer surrounded by tall glassed doors that open onto the living area and the kitchen. And what a kitchen it is. Funky. Incredibly functional. And lots of light coming in from the small balcony that overlooks Piedras. The stove/oven even has a pizza stone. Stay in one night and cook or just serve yourself some fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning to get your day started right.
The living room is divided into three spaces. There’s a reading section that’s cozy and warm. Then the living room section where you can sit and get to know the other people staying with us. And there’s a dining room section big enough for all six guests. Plus, there’s a lovely balcony big enough for a few chairs and a small table right behind the dining room table.
Come stay in this traditional casa porteña and let us give you a place to call home here in the coolest part of Buenos Aires.
You’ll find more pictures on our Flickr Set and descriptions of the individual rooms here below:
Caseros (shared bathroom):
Piedras (shared bathroom)
Finochietto (private bathroom)
Our rates for all three rooms are on the Guesthouse Rates page. And find out exactly where we’re located on the Location page.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights while in BA. Quiet, warm and spacious….it was the perfect home base to wander the busy city. With a grocery store on the same street, it was easy to keep the kitchen stocked with fresh food for cooking each day. We met two other great couples in the Guesthouse during our stay and even cooked one night with them. Location is just down from Caseros, so easy to explore San Telmo…..definitely coming back!
Thanks, Jennifer. It was great having you guys with us at the beginning and again at the end of your trip. Looking forward to seeing some pictures.
Besos to you both!
Angela
Casa Piedras is a stunning house. The type of house that takes you instantly into the Buenos Aires of a bygone era with its high ceilings, beautiful doors, wooden floors and old tiles ( azulejos?) Angela, the host, is the final touch: she is the one who brings life, charm and warmth to the place with countless attentions that made me feel not only welcomed, but spoiled.
She cheerfully greeted me upon my arrival at a very early hour and took the time to share her tips, advice and favorite addresses in the area. Throughout my 10 days stay, she was always available to advise, help and recommend. The area is one of my favorites: away from the crowds and traffic, it has many spots worth a visit for lunch, dinner or just the delight of the eyes!
I couldn’t have been happier with the choice of my home away from home and all guests felt the same way. And by the way, sharing the house with other guests is by itself a great addition to the experience.
Thank you again Angela and John, I had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to be back!
