Rates for The Guesthouse
Please Note: We cannot do check-ins later than 7pm. If you are in Argentina already and planning to arrive at The Guesthouse later than 7pm, we will not be there. Check-ins are between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm.
All rates are in US dollars. For each rental, there is a $30 USD charge for cleaning and laundry. It’s a one-time fee. There are no administrative fees. The minimum stay is four nights.
Methods of Payment
- Cash – We prefer that you pay in cash (US dollars) at the moment of check in. There are no transaction fees or banking fees when you pay in cash, so this is the cheapest route.
- Wire Transfer – You can pay by wire transfer to a US bank account. In this case, there is a $10 US banking fee to be paid by the renter in addition to the full rent. This should be paid before your arrival to ensure that it has reached our bank account by the time you are checking in.
- Credit Card – Credit cards can be used through PayPal. There is an additional 5% transaction fee charged by PayPal that will be added on to the rental amount. If you’d like to use your credit card or pay through PayPal, you will need to let us know in advance so that we can send the request (rent + 5%) to you before you leave home. You’ll have to pay this before leaving home because PayPal blocks access when you try to use your account while overseas.
Please Note: We’ve had several people come to stay with us over the past few months who’ve intended to pay by credit card through PayPal once they arrive. In every case, they’ve been blocked from using PayPal from abroad. It’s a security issue and a good policy. But it leaves all of us in a difficult situation.
If you are intending to use PayPal to pay your rent, please keep in mind that for security reasons PayPal may block your account if you try to access it while abroad.

Hi – Love the look of your guesthouse – what is your availablity for approx 30th Nov 2011 for 1 month for all three rooms and up to 3 months for 1 room ?

Thanks so much for your interest in The Guesthouse. To rent out all three rooms, the total comes to $100 US per night, so it would come to $3000 USD for the month.
That said, there will always be someone in a room on the second floor. Right now it’s an office space for John who does the check-ins and makes sure the place stays clean. He’s not typically there at night though. I’ll need to check with the owner to see when she’s coming back into town and if she’s planning to continue renting the rooms. When she’s back, she’ll stay in John’s office upstairs. But she’d be living there, so the rest of the house will be shared with her and her husband.
For now, we’re only taking reservations through September. I’ll get in touch with her to see what the plan is and if she’s interested in renting a room for a longer period of time. I’ll send this to you by email as well.

The Finochietto room (w/ private bath) is available from August 17 – 21 (4 nights). The Piedras room is available from August 14 – 21 (seven nights). The Caseros room has been booked. It may be available from August 20 – 24, I need to check with the people who are currently renting it.

All three rooms are booked from September 15 – 18. Then the Caseros room is free from the 18th to the 24th. I’ll send you an email about the one place that we do have available. It’s called The Depto here on the site. It’s in a great location. Very comfortable apartment.

Thanks so much for your interest in The Guesthouse. It’s completely booked from December 27 – March 4. I only have one room available from Dec. 22 – 27, but that will not work with four people. All of my other apartments that can sleep four people, are also booked between Dec. 21 – 27 and Dec. 31 – Jan. 6. Well, actually, The Gallery is available from Dec. 31 – Jan. 6. It has a queen size bed in the master bedroom, a twin in the upstairs bedroom, and a sofa that’s a day bed in the living room. However, it does not have air conditioning.
