The Nest
We call this spot The Nest because of the cute little nook, a great reading spot, upstairs off from the bathroom.
The Nest is perfect for those who like to cook and/or entertain with it’s large bar/kitchen, dividing the living room from the dining room, which has a sink, an electric stove, and plenty of space.
There’s also a small kitchen off to the side (see above) with a gas stove, washing machine and modern refrigerator. And a half bath in polished cement next to the kitchen.
The Nest can sleep three people comfortably: two upstairs in the double bed and one downstairs on the sofa/bed. A fourth person could sleep in the nook, but there is no door to close it off from the bathroom, so that’s not really recommendable.
The Nest is on the third floor of a turn-of-the-century building, just 2 blocks from Plaza Dorrego and 2 blocks from Puerto Madero (see location on Google Maps). The street is a busy one. That’s good and bad. It’s great for catching a bus to any part of the city, but there’s always the sound of traffic outside.
Because The Nest has double-paned windows and there’s a massive AC, you won’t have to keep the windows open. But, if you are sensitive to noise or if you like to sleep late, this might not be the spot for you. If you’d like to see more photos, check out our Flickr album for The Nest.
