Buenos Aires’ Most Traditional Sunday Fair, Mataderos

Rowdy folklore and dancing, skillful horsemanship, manly gauchos (Argentinean cowboys), inexhaustible amounts of grilled meat, empanadas, and other regional foods, fairly priced and beautifully handcrafted arts & crafts. Oh, yes. I do love the Feria de Mataderos. It’s one of my favorite Sunday activities in Buenos Aires. Rustic and Romantic Loft in San Telmo

The Hideaway is a spacious loft that uses a color palette of off-white and warm brown with bursts of bold reds and yellows. The sunny rooftop terrace offers a lovely view of the San Pedro Telmo Church.

Live Music in San Telmo on Thursday Nights

Some tango-loving friends of mine introduced me to La Jaula Abierta, a really cool spot for live music (watch our video below) here in San Telmo. It’s in a small, intimate bar right above Cafe Rivas on Estados Unidos and Balcarce, just a few blocks away from San Telmo Loft.
