Artsy Two-Bedroom Apartment

The Oasis

It’s no surprise that The Oasis was home to a local artist for over 20 years. Gorgeous paintings, funky statues, quirky illustrations, and artistic touches like making the water tank pipes blend into the wall, will entertain you while you’re here living in an actual artist’s abode.

This two-bedroom apartment has a double bed in the master bedroom and a twin bed in the upstairs bedroom. There’s one bathroom with a shower and the kitchen is equipped for cooking basic meals.

On Paseo Colon in a beautiful turn-of-the-century building which once had a bakery on the ground floor where there is now a deli, The Oasis is in a great location. Plaza Dorrego is two blocks one way, and Puerto Madero is two blocks the other way. You’ll find plenty to do day or night without ever needing to take a cab or bus. Though when you want to head off to other parts of the city, there are several important bus lines with stops just below us and you can pretty much always catch a cab right out in front.

We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have had such amazing guests over the years and we’re delighted to know they’ve loved our spaces and our services.

“I cannot speak highly enough of our experience in Angela’s apartment in Buenos Aires, everything was absolutely perfect. The apartment was so beautiful, we woke up every morning happy to be there. The kitchen was very well stocked and even had all the spices, oils and vinegars you may need. Angela was the perfect host and gave us the best check-in introduction I’ve had. The hand book she’s created has all the information you may need, including maps, plus some very good tips about the city (where to eat, where to drink, where to shop etc.) and how to avoid being scammed with fake notes. The apartment has a metro card to be recharged and used by guests, as well as a mobile phone that can be charged with credit and a landline. There really is nothing that she hasn’t thought of. Staying in this apartment made our time in Buenos Aires all the better and I will definitely stay here again next time I’m back.”

“This place was perfect. Nice, clean, and a great price! The apartment is cozy and very interesting! A lot of cool art work and unique found items adorn the walls and decorate the rooms of this place, but it’s not all form over function. It was a very comfortable stay in a great location in San Telmo. We were able to walk over to La Boca from where we were. Some bonus features of this apartment were drinkable, filtered water from the kitchen tap, and a power bar that fits North American electrical plugs (no need to bring/buy a dongle for conversion). WiFi connection was strong (great for updating friends and family back home).

Easily the best part of this place was the host, Angela. Friendly, and ultra-knowledgeable of the area and city! Angela met us when we came, gave us our keys and sat us down to let us know what was good in the area, and in the city. She provided us with her own guidebook (also sent as a PDF file before we got there), and books for bus routes. She was very quick to respond to any curiosities we had while there, and even called us a driver to get us back to the airport when we left. Definitely recommend!”

“My husband and I decided to start our 7 week exploration through South America here in this Artsy 2 bdrm San Telmo apartment and we could not have been more satisfied about it. Art adorns the walls, the perfect amount of light shines through the windows, the kitchen is completely functional, there is enough yerba mate to energize a small village, and it’s located in one of the most beautiful districts, in our opinion, in BA. But, what makes this place so special is Angela. Angela helped make this experience one we will always remember. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was plenty enjoyable. She is more than knowledgeable about her city and the surrounding areas. Did I mention she speaks English and Spanish and like 5 other languages?! She had an answer to just about any question we could conjure up: “where do we get good local cuisine?” Angela Knows; “where do we catch the bus to Palermo Soho?” Angela Knows; “where do we find the best coffee and salami nearby?”, “how do we find an atm…but this atm is out of cash where do we find a another atm?” Angela knows where all the atms are! Our experience here and with her as our host was so pleasant we compared the rest of our hosts during the duration of our trip to her. 5 stars!!”
