Quirky One-Bedroom with Amazing Terrace

The Terrace Living Room

The decor of this whimsical and feminine one-bedroom apartment was inspired by the play “The House of Bernarda Alba” by Federico Garcia Lorca. Quirky details, a rainbow terrace, and a frilly master bedroom make The Terrace our most fantastical vacation rental.

There’s a retro, vintage vibe throughout. Mid-century modern in the living room, a 1950s refrigerator in the kitchen, gorgeous original tile floors, vaulted brick ceilings and exposed brick walls, we wanted to celebrate the architecture of this century-old building.

The kitchen is fully equipped with details like a coffee pot, kettle, and citrus juicer (for amazing breakfasts al fresco), a microwave (for reheating those amazing meals you couldn’t finish the night before), a stove and oven, and plenty of dishes, pots and pans. The skylight from the terrace and the wall of windows in the living room let in a soft natural light.

Head over to the Mercado de San Telmo, just three blocks away, or the local farmer’s market on Chile Street on Saturdays, and stock up on great veggies and that famous Argentine beef. Grab some empanadas from the bakery and a great bottle of Malbec and head up to the terrace for dinner with a view of the San Pedro Telmo church.

The Terrace can sleep two people. The stairs are quite steep, so it’s not suitable for mobility impaired guests or guests with small children.

A very strategic location, The Terrace is located on Paseo Colon which makes grabbing a cab or choosing a bus (there are tons with stops just below us) easy as can be. Walk two blocks up to Plaza Dorrego, the main square in San Telmo, or two blocks down to Puerto Madero. It’s in the same building as The Loft, The Hideaway, and The Oasis.

We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have had such amazing guests over the years and we’re delighted to know they’ve loved our spaces and our services.

“I can’t do justice to the brilliant service Angela gives- from booking online, checking in, while we were there and leaving- she has gone above and beyond what you would expect or hope for. She also helped us find somewhere to stay , late at night and at last minute when our hire car fell through after checking out and we didn’t have any where to sleep.

The pad is beautifully decorated, the kitchen is great for cooking your own food and there is everything you need like phrase books, guides, tube and bus books as well as loads of movies. The location is great and everything is easy peasy.. just the way you want it when you come to BA to have fun and explore.

Why on earth would anyone want to stay in a small, drab hotel when it’s cheaper, and so much better, to stay in a heavenly two storey house with a BA guru like Angela there to help you out with a smile? “

“My husband, my mother in low and I lived for 15 days on “The Pad”. The loft is large enough to accommodate a couple and an mother in law with comfort and privacy, since the two double bedrooms are well separated from each other. In the social area, with nice outdoor balcony and living room with integrated kitchen and incredibly high ceiling gives a feeling of spaciousness without cancel the warm atmosphere. The decor vintage inspired the play – A Casa de Bernarda Alba – Spanish writer Federico García Lorca – is a “journey” part, sensational. Many CDs, books, maps and magazines, wireless Internet (cable TV if you like) and local telephone calls give the impression that we are in our own home. For one or two couples would be ideal, leaving the mother in low at home of course: 0). The noisy Paseo Colon Avenue disappears inside the foyer, which leads to the lift imported from Paris a century ago, saved as new, transport you with extreme elegance to the loft, surprisingly quiet. The host Angela is simply fascinating (please do not abuse that angel). And there is more the “Republic of San Telmo” and all beautiful Buenos Aires at your feet.”

“Angela is one of the best hosts you could ever wish for! Not only does she have the apartment set up with spices and kitchen basics, she also gave us the best shopping tips of our life. Always available and accommodating, keeping my bags in her apartment for three days before the reservation started and arranged for us to stay longer after we fell In love with the apartment. She even helped us with our bags and loaded us into a taxi at the end of our trip.

As for the apartment…it’s amazing! We never left…..the terrace is incredible, the AC is a plus, it was quiet, the beds were really comfortable and the bedrooms are on the opposites sides of the apt. Great for privacy.

I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to all my friends!”
