Bohemian, soulful and loved, we say The Loft is our romantic vacation rental because it seems to attract lots of honeymooners. It’s an intimate space with a cozy upstairs bedroom. Soft light and vibrant colors mixed with antiques from our neighborhood remind you that you are on vacation in Buenos Aires.
The Loft is on the second floor of a turn-of-the-century building on Paseo Colon, a busy street with several important bus lines making it easy to get around to other parts of the city. Our guests love the bird cage elevator and funky layout of what is called a chorizo-style building.
Perfect for a couple though three can comfortably sleep here with the third person occupying the futon in the living room. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, so there’s a bit more privacy if there are three of you.

We’re just 2 blocks from Plaza Dorrego, the heart of San Telmo and 2 blocks away from Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires’ most modern neighborhood. It’s a fantastic location.
We love San Telmo’s bohemian vibe and authenticity. Though gentrification is definitely happening, it’s not pretentious… yet.
You’ll want to explore San Telmo’s casas de tango, small traditional restaurants known as bodegones, old-fashioned bars called Nares notables, antique and vintage shops, and the trendy new restaurants, cafes, and fancy boutiques. Day or night, San Telmo is full of activity.
In particular, we love that it’s small. No matter where you are in San Telmo, you’ll find a cool place to eat, great bars and cafes, some lovely boutiques (though fewer than in Palermo or Recoleta) and you will mostly hear Spanish.

“Wow, what an amazing stay with Angela. I would highly recommend staying with her in any of her properties. They are funky, fun and well located. I not only got a great place to live but first hand recommendations from a local as well. Angela is the best host that I have had the pleasure of staying with in one year around-the-world travels. She made me feel like an old friend dropping by for a visit rather than a guest she was meeting for the first time. I stayed with Angela 6 weeks before moving to more permanent accommodation in BsAs (which she helping me find!). Angela is fabulous, generous person so much so that I now count her amongst my good friends in Buenos Aires after being here a mere 6 weeks. She is extremely helpful, cheerful, laid back and just plain fun to hang out with.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Angela’s spacious and welcoming loft. The layout and design is superbly quirky. The location is fantastic: San Telmo quickly became our favorite neighborhood in Buenos Aires. And besides being a first class host, Angela also provides a guide to the neighborhood and city with local insights that outclass anything in our guide books. We would’ve been happy to stay another week or more – highly recommended!”

“What a great place – and an even better host! The apartment is ideally located and yet always quiet, with a well-stocked kitchen and everything else one might need, including also a pre-charged mobile phone (!) and a SUBE (Metro-)Card. Angela even put together a little handbook of San Telmo, B. A., and daytrips around the city that puts Lonely Planet and other guide books to shame.
We had a great time staying at the Loft and will definitely come back if we ever make it back to Argentina!”
